As you saw from our other posts this week, we are in a all out sprint to fall over here. With a looming heatwave coming this long weekend all we can do is pretend it’s fall outside while we hide away inside.
This week we collected the best fall inspired home pictures that are getting us in that fall mode. There are so many ways to bring in subtle hints of fall without doing anything permanent or expensive. Clipping greenery from the yard, bringing in all the fall apples and pears and putting them on display in wooden bowls and platters, incorporating baskets into your decor and adding fur, wool and linen blankets and pillows around your home. Fall is also a nice time to audit the lighting in your home. Do you need a new floor lamp over the couch for late night reading, some wall sconces over the bed or library lighting over favorite pieces of art down a hallway. Lighting is always a nice way to add those relaxing warm tones to your home in the evening. Switching out bedding once the warm nights fade is another way to usher in the fall, adding thick comforters and switching to flannel sheets. Welcoming the new season can be done in every room in the smallest ways.
